On December 2nd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon there will be the Annual Women's Brunch at Baptist Fellowship. The Brunch will take place in Cooper Fellowship Hall, and the speaker for the morning will be Pat Frame. If you'd like more information about the brunch please contact Michelle VerBurg.
We have 40 tickets for the October 6th Uconn Football Game vs. Memphis. Tickets will cost $30 per person, that will cover food, parking, and entrance to the game. Sign-Ups will be in the church foyer starting this Sunday. Tickets are first come first serve. Sign-Up before we run out! The game starts at 7:00 PM, we will meet at BFC at 3:30 PM to car-pool with a departure time of 4:00 PM. We will tailgate before the game. Come join us for an end of the Summer cookout and launch party for our fall events. We will provide burgers and hotdogs, bring a snack to share. There will be activities for kids, food, and a bonfire in our field.
This fall we will have Kids, Teens, Men's, and Women's Groups meeting at our church on Wednesday Nights. We will have dinner available every Wednesday from 5:45-6:15 PM and Bible studies from 6:30-8:00 PM. Visit our connect page for information.
At SonRise National Park VBS, kids will enjoy the thrills of daily treks where they can face extreme challenges and learn to depend on the promises of Jesus- promises each of us can cling to. They will discover the true treasure described in Philippians 4:19, “My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

Twice a year we collect lightly used quality products (clothing, books, etc) to give to those in need in our community. Our June Free Swap will be the first of 2017. On May 27th at Jillson Square in Willimantic Caring Families Pregnancy Center will be sponsoring the Walk for Life. Caring Families Pregnancy Center is a ministry that provides crisis pregnancy relief, bible studies, ultrasounds, and counseling. This event will include Lunch, balloon animals, and face painting. You can help raise funds leading up to the event by collecting pledges. Set a goal, mark your calendar, and join us at Jillson Square to Walk for Life this May! Marriage Conference with Matt and Lauren Chandler. Matt serves as Lead Pastor of The Village Church in Texas. He is a widely respected author, preacher, and husband. He and Lauren wrote the book, "The Mingling of Souls", and are now launching conferences to help equip husbands and wives in their marriages to honor and worship God.
Baptist Fellowship invites you to come out for our Christmas Musical "Shepherds and Kings." December 10th and 11th at 7:00 PM in our Sanctuary we will perform our musical. On September 18th, during the Sunday School hour Baptist Fellowship will be hosting a Ministry Fair. Our mission as a church is three fold: Worship, Serve, Grow. We worship God in our Sunday morning service. We grow in our walk with God by connecting to a small group bible study (Sunday School, Community Groups, Wednesday Programs, etc). We serve God by serving our community in the name of Jesus. The goal of our ministry fair is to help people connect into our GROW and SERVE steps of our mission. Come find out about small group bible studies, and come find out about how you can serve the community in the name of Jesus. On Friday September 16th Engage Students will have their first event of the year. It's called Back to School Bash. The event is taking place at First Baptist Church in Manchester. It begins at 7:00 PM. Please have your students at BFC in the upper parking lot by 6:00 PM the latest. Students are encouraged to bring friends, this is an outreach event. The Third Annual First Responders Picnic sponsored by Baptist Fellowship! On August 27th we will be hosting a picnic for the First Responders of the Columbia and Hebron Volunteer Fire Departments. We are expecting upwards of 150 members to be present at this picnic. The event will take place at the Pavilion at Columbia Rec Park off of Hennequin RD. Please sign up during Sunday Services, or in the form below, to volunteer or for your food items. We need all hands on deck for this event! We also ask that you would prayerfully consider making a donation during our Sunday Services on August 14th and 21st towards our Volunteer Fire Fighters here in Columbia. On Sunday May 29th, 2016 right after Sunday School we will be having a church wide picnic in celebration of Memorial Day. Hot Dogs and Hamburgers will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. There will be outdoor games like bean bag toss, volleyball, soccer, capture the flag, as well as a slip n slide for kids. FREE BREAKFAST Opening Day 2016
Our church is located right by the Hop River. We are opening our doors and inviting you to come in for a free breakfast on Opening Day of Fishing Season 2016. Opening day is April 9, 2016. Breakfast will begin at 5:30 AM and go until 9:00 AM. We'd love to see you there. Bring a friend and an appetite. There will be a raffle give away too!
Baptist Fellowship will be holding a Good Friday Service and Music Celebration on Friday March 25, 2016. It will begin at 6:30 PM.
Sunday Morning we will have a 8:00 AM breakfast, followed by a 9:00 AM service.

March 18th, from 6:00-9:00 PM Engage Students will be hosting a Paint Night Fundraiser. Everyone and anyone is invited to participate in this Fundraiser. Professional Artist Nathalie Villenueve provides step by step instructions leading to original pieces of art. Nathalie has a whole line of biblical paintings that she provides for churches. The painting we will do is called "Our Hope." This is a ticketed event that costs $40 per ticket. Our goal is to sell 50 tickets to help raise around $1000 for students going to summer camp in 2016. Donations are appreciated. If you'd like to attend the event please contact Jordan Brown or Rebekah Avery. Please spread the word about this fundraiser. We need all the help we can get!

On March 13th we will be ordaining Jordan Brown. Jordan started attending Baptist Fellowship when he was 16 years old with his Uncle AJ Brown. Jordan is a graduate of Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. He and his wife, Rachel, met at Baptist Fellowship and have been married since June 2014. He has served on our pastoral staff since 2013 working with our youth, young adults, and alongside Pastor Brian and Pastor Dennis. There will be a normal worship schedule Service beginning at 9:00 AM followed by Sunday School at 10:45 AM. We will be having a potluck in Cooper Fellowship Hall from 12:00-1:30 PM, the ordination service will begin at 1:30 PM. Everyone is invited to come, please bring a food item for the Potluck, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Cornerstone City Church of Norwich will be hosting a Men's Retreat Friday January 15th from 7-9pm and Saturday January 16th from 9am-2pm. Men from Baptist Fellowship are invited, and encouraged, to attend either day or both days if possible. Our Annual Business Meeting will be on January 10, 2016. Prayer will begin at 6:00pm with the meeting beginning at 6:30pm. Copies of the 2015 budget and the proposed budget for 2016 are available on the table in the Foyer outside of the Sanctuary. Everyone is invited, and encouraged, to attend the business meeting. Beginning January 3, 2016 Baptist Fellowship will be moving to a single worship service. Service will begin at 9:00am and go until 10:30am. Coffee time will be from 10:30-10:45am. Sunday School will be from 10:45am to 12:00pm. We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
